| Army Institute
of Management & Technology organized Annual Day Function ‘ALANKRITI
2010’ in the Campus at Greater Noida today on 27th November
2010. Lt General Mukesh Sabharwal, PVSM, AVSM**, VSM, the Adjutant
General of the Army was the Chief Guest. Lt General BV Nair, AVSM,
DG CW and Maj General Manmohan Singh, PVSM, AVSM, MD, AWES were
the other dignitaries who graced the occasion.
The function started with lighting
of lamp by Lt General BV Nair followed SARASWATI VANDANA. Brig
(Dr) M K Kushwaha(Retd), Director, AIMT welcomed the Chief Guest,
Dignitaries, Alumni and Parents of Students and presented director’s
report highlighting the Institute’s initiatives taken in
last two years towards academics and professional excellence.
He mentioned students achievement in the National level sports
and other events.
The Welcome Address was followed
by cultural programme and prize distribution ceremony. Students
of AIMT, enthralled the audience not only through their energetic
cultural, Western and Bhangra Dance, but also through their creative
presentation on Skits ‘AWAM KA’ exposing deep-rooted
corruption in India and ‘MERA BHARAT MAHAN’, highlighting
unity in religious diversity among Indian. The cultural programme
was followed by more solemn part of Oath taking Ceremony, which
was administered by MBA-6 Batch students. During this ceremony,
students took pledge of honouring the dignity of nation by practicing
the high standards of ethical in their professional career.
Prof (Dr) Sharad Goel, HoD (Academics) announced the winners of Chief of Army Staff best student Rolling Trophy & Award of Excellence for meritorious students of Batch 05 of AIMT. The chief Guest Lt General Mukesh Sabharwal, PVSM, AVSM**, VSM, AG distributed the prize to batch winners. Ms Megha Suyal, received COAS Best student Rolling Trophy Award being the Institute topper in the university Exam. The award carries a cash reward Rs.25000/- & merit certificate in addition to the Trophy. She also secured Third Rank in the GGSIP University exams, besides topping amongst the Institute’s alumni.Parneet Hira & Sumitra Saini received the award of excellence for academic performance in the form of shared Gold Medals securing next best positions in the academics .The prize money was also shared by both (Rs. 17500/- each). Damini Shukla received the Bronze Medal and cash reward of Rs.10000/-, being third best in academics.
The Chief Guest while addressing
the students & faculty and distinguished guests, congratulated
students for their extra ordinary performance. He also reminded
them that life was a journey which began in campuses.
Another mark of the Annual Day
Celebration was the ALUMNI MEET, which was attended by a large
no. of Alumni base of AIMT. During this occasion the Alumni shared
their long cherished memories and experiences with their Juniors.
They also expressed their desires to provide all kind of assistance
for placement of their juniors.
